Hello!

Hello! My name is Lindsey and I'm an aspiring artist, writer and zoologist. I am hopelessly in love with my cockatiel, Tobias, who turned 4 around August/September 2008. I love art, writing, photography and travel, and I am painting and writing as much as I can around my uni studies. I hope to double major in English and Ancient History/Archaeology and pursue my art and writing as a full time career.

I only began taking my art seriously in late 2007, when I completed the first painting I’ve actually intended to finish. I have painted precisely another two fantasy artworks since then, largely due to studies as I completed my HSC. I do believe that there is a substantial improvement between each of these three paintings, as I have come to understand the medium, and my own limits better. I work primarily in watercolours, but I also use graphite, such as in my HSC major work, and I’ll experiment with whatever I can get my hands on.

I completed a short story for my HSC, entitled Alaena, a fantasy novella on standing up for what you believe in. Alaena will eventually find it's way onto the internet, but for now, it's my baby, and all mine, my precious. EDIT:Due to a shocking lack of art, Alaena has been uploaded for your reading pleasure. Steal it and I will eat you. I'm currently working tentatively on two fantasy novels, and trying to choose between the two. I also have several other ideas, and random snippets running amok in my head.

I would eventually like to have a website to showcase and sell my art, once I have more time to expand my portfolio (uni is time consuming)! In the meantime, my journal is updated regularly with my randomness, as well as any new arts in progress.
